We’ve stocked the cottage with most essentials, but here are a few extras we recommend
bringing:
‣ Swimsuits & sandals (for lake and sauna time)
‣ Warm layers for cool evenings by the fire
‣ Sunscreen & bug spray (especially in summer)
‣ Your favourite streaming login (Netflix, Disney+, etc.)
‣ Reusable water bottles or travel mugs
‣ Snowshoes or hiking gear if visiting in fall/winter
We provide all linens and towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry detergent, as well as coffee and tea for your stay.

Yes—there is free parking on-site. Overflow parking is available on the other side of Westside Road.
Where do I dispose of garbage and recycling?
Garbage and recycling bins are located in the overflow parking area. Please tie up garbage securely and separate recyclables before disposal.
To keep the cottage allergy-friendly for future guests, we do not allow pets.
Is the cottage suitable for children?
Absolutely. We have a bunk bed in the den, board games, books, and family-friendly nearby adventures listed in our Kids Activity Guide.
What’s the cell reception like?
Strong and reliable. You’ll also have access to high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the property.
Is there air conditioning and heat?
Yes, the cottage has both A/C and heating for your year-round comfort.
Is propane provided for the BBQ and fire pit?
Yes, we provide two full propane cylinders for your stay—one for the BBQ and one for the outdoor fire pit.
If you require additional propane beyond what’s provided, you’re welcome to refill or exchange the tanks at your own expense at nearby gas stations or hardware stores.
Instructions for safe handling and reconnecting the tanks are included in the welcome guide.
Yes, we provide adult and child-sized life jackets for use with the paddleboards or lake swimming. Please ensure children are supervised at all times near the water.
Can we use the sauna year-round?
Absolutely! The barrel sauna is available year-round and is especially cozy during cooler months. Towels are provided. Please follow the safety instructions in the welcome guide.
Yes, a washer and dryer are available for guest use. We provide laundry detergent and dryer sheets for your convenience.
What kitchen supplies are included?
The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, utensils, dishes, and basic pantry items like salt, pepper, and olive oil. You’ll also find a coffee machine, kettle, French press, and a selection of coffee and tea.
Is there a grocery store nearby?
Yes—there’s a small grocery store located at La Casa Resort, just a 10-minute drive from the cottage for basic essentials. For a full grocery shop, big-box stores like Superstore and Save-On-Foods are about 30 minutes away in West Kelowna.
Is the cottage wheelchair accessible?
Due to the layout and steps leading to the entry, the cottage is not fully wheelchair accessible.

Yes, out of respect for the community and nearby homes, we kindly ask guests to observe quiet hours from 11 PM to 8 AM.
Do you allow events or parties?
No, we do not allow parties or large gatherings. Nordic Lake Cottage is intended for peaceful stays and respectful use only.
Is there a first aid kit on site?
Yes, a fully stocked first aid kit is available in the main floor bathroom cabinet.
What happens if something breaks during our stay?
We understand accidents happen. Please notify us as soon as possible so we can arrange repairs or replacements. Guests are responsible for significant damage beyond normal wear and tear.
